Welcome to Dragon Veterinary Centre.
We are a 100% small animal practice dealing with dogs, cats and pocket small on a first opinion basis, and taking dogs and cats as referrals in skin and ear disease.
We have been in Concord House in Washington for over 25 years, gradually expanding from a single office unit to now having three units within the block to provide more space for both patients and vets and all on one level!
We are a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Accredited General Practice - Small Animals. This means we have been inspected by the RCVS www.rcvs.org.uk/practice-standards-scheme
We have three vets in the main first-opinion part of the practice with over seventy years experience between us, so we have seen most things by now. We have extensive knowledge of medical and surgical problems, and have the technical skill and equipment to help most pets with their problems.
Because we are on the one site we can offer excellent continuity of care, and our vets don't spend their time travelling between branches, and nor do you or your pets!
Our four registered fully-trained Veterinary Nurses provide excellent care and are available for puppy advice, dental advice, weight clinics and post-operative checkups.
They provide a huge amount of backup for the vets in caring for the animals, and are essential for the smooth running of the practice, especially the operating theatre, radiography suite, and laboratory.
Between them they have undertaken a vast amount of further training, from the Diploma in Dermatology Nursing to courses in cat behaviour, dog behaviour and the Diploma in Advanced Veterinary Nursing.
